Spring 2022

April 2021 – September 2021

– Closet & Laundry Design Development –

I saw how successful cohesive collections were with the Walmart customer in Spring 2020 and sought to provide an even bigger offering and more streamlined solution for 2022.

The items below not only connect with previous closet & laundry materials & techniques, but reach out into the new furniture product lines as well.

– First Round Samples –

All development and production was paused due to Covid restrictions.

Spring 2021

April 2020 – September 2020

– Decorative Storage Design Development –

Walmart wanted to build upon the success of Ikea’s decorative storage products, starting out with an affordable, synthetic rattan basket offering that met Walmart’s stringent quality requirements.

Working on an expedited timeline to get the design approved and into production before Spring 2021’s design deadline, I worked in parallel with Walmart & manufacturing personnel to quickly iterate & move forward a manufacturable design that was unique yet within the required parameters given.

– Final Product –

The final basket has been so successful that the basket pattern is now being introduced into both the furniture department and the Patio & Garden Department.

SPRING 2020

April 2019 – September 2019

– Decorative Storage, Closet, & Laundry Design Development –

Walmart saw an opportunity to improve their Better Homes & Gardens line in both the Closet & Laundry Departments of their business. I, however, saw it as an even better opportunity to tell a single story to customers, a singular solution moving clothes from the closet to hamper to the wash and back. This unified approach was heavily adopted by Walmart and has been a popular offering to their customers.
